Do you wake up with sharp pain in your heel when you take your first steps in the morning? You might be dealing with Plantar Fasciitis, one of the most common causes of heel pain! This condition occurs when the plantar fasciaβa thick band of tissue running along the bottom of your footβbecomes inflamed or degenerates due to overuse, poor footwear, or foot mechanics.
β¨ Simple At-Home Treatments to Help:
βοΈ Stretching & Strengthening β Stretch your calves and foot arch regularly.
βοΈ Ice Therapy β Roll a frozen water bottle under your foot for relief.
βοΈ Supportive Footwear β Ditch the flat shoes and opt for good arch support, avoid walking around home barefoot.
If your heel pain isnβt improving, donβt let it slow you down! A podiatrist can assess your foot mechanics and recommend tailored solutions like orthotics, taping, or shockwave therapy.
