Leanne Murdoch is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association, and Sports & Exercise Podiatry Australia. She established Victor Feet First in 2008 after having lived and worked as a Podiatrist in the area since 2004. Leanne provides an initial consultation to give you a thorough assessment and discussion of your treatment. Your feet are a complex system of 52 bones, 66 joints, 214 ligaments, and 38 tendons and muscles. Even the smallest imbalance in your feet can cause pain, so it’s important to seek professional help to retain your quality of life! We offer a holistic service with ongoing treatment plans to improve mobility, balance, strength, and overall well being.
Do you wake up with sharp pain in your heel when you take your first steps in the morning? You might be dealing with Plantar Fasciitis, one of the most common causes of heel pain! This condition occurs when the plantar fascia—a thick band of tissue running along the bottom of your foot—becomes inflamed or degenerates due to overuse, poor footwear, or foot mechanics.
✨ Simple At-Home Treatments to Help:
✔️ Stretching & Strengthening – Stretch your calves and foot arch regularly.
✔️ Ice Therapy – Roll a frozen water bottle under your foot for relief.
✔️ Supportive Footwear – Ditch the flat shoes and opt for good arch support, avoid walking around home barefoot.
If your heel pain isn’t improving, don’t let it slow you down! A podiatrist can assess your foot mechanics and recommend tailored solutions like orthotics, taping, or shockwave therapy.

Just wrapped up an incredible month of continuing education! 🎓✈️
First, I traveled to Sydney to join the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons for a cadaver course. It was an amazing hands-on experience where I learned advanced injection techniques and some minor surgical procedures.
Next, I headed to beautiful Noosa for the 2024 Sports and Exercise Podiatry Australia Conference. This event was packed with valuable lectures and workshops on treating sports injuries of the foot and ankle, led by top experts from Australia and Europe.
I'm excited to bring these new skills and knowledge back to the clinic to provide my patients with the latest evidence-based practices for managing a variety of foot conditions. Here’s to continuous learning and improving patient care! 🦶💼💪 #Podiatry #ContinuingEducation #PatientCare #FootHealth #SportsPodiatry #EvidenceBasedPractice ... See MoreSee Less
